In case any of your students may still be looking for an overseas experience in information and communications technology (ICT) this summer, I am writing with a quick reminder that the application deadline for the fully-funded 2017 Huawei Seeds for the Future Program is just two weeks away (April 24, 2017 at 5pm Eastern Time).
Designed to bridge the gap between information and communications technology (ICT) instruction at universities and the practical skills required in the workplace, the program combines hands-on training and the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals in the ICT field.
Program Dates: July 7-22, 2017
PROGRAM FEATURES
- Week one: Language and culture training at Beijing Language and Culture University
- Week two: Hands-on technical training in ICT technologies and solutions at Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China
- Activities and excursions introducing participants to Chinese culture and historical landmarks
- Includes all travel expenses including airfare, meals, and accommodations
