Two positions of Student Researcher are available as part of an internally-funded grant project. Undergraduates from any discipline may apply; coursework in Media Arts, Art History, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Geography, and Library Science is preferred. Student Researchers will contribute to a collaborative and interdisciplinary project devoted to reimagining eighteenth-century architectural illustrations and maps by Giovanni Piranesi from USC’s Irvin Department of Rare Books and Special Collections. Working under the direction of a Project Manager during the Fall semester, Student Researchers will develop annotated webpages like those currently found at digitalpiranesi.org.
Pay rate: $10/hr; 10 hours/week
Preferred qualification: minimum GPA of 3.5.
Start date: Aug 23, 2018 (tentative); End date: Dec 15, 2018
