Dr. Haley R. Hatfield of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications is seeking a Virtual Environment Programmer to help develop immersive worlds for research applications. This position offers hands-on experience in XR development at the Biometrics and User Experience (BaUX) Lab within the College of Information and Communications.
Open to all USC majors applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences are strongly encouraged!
Position Details
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
- Pay: $15/hour
- Location: Hybrid (Remote and on-site at Davis College, USC-Columbia Campus)
- Start Date: Summer or Fall 2025
Preferred Qualifications
- Unity or Unreal Engine experience (VR focus preferred)
- Proficiency in C# or C++ scripting
- Familiarity with GitHub and version control workflows
- Interest in research-based virtual environment design
- Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills
