Four Job openings for CSE students at the Center for Digital Humanities:
2 - Back End Developer - This is the second half of the John Ruskin Diary Notebooks. Student would work with the previously mentioned Front End Dev to build the backend of the site using the MEAN stack. They would not be building the site from scratch as the other sections of the VLLC are built on the same data structure. They would be working on customizing the existing code to fit the needs of the Ruskin Diary. Required Courses CSCE 145, 146
Both of the Ruskin positions would be working directly with our external university partners at the University of Leeds, Lancaster University, UofSC Department of Digital Collections, and the Ruskin Library Research Centre.
4 - In-House CDH Designer - This student would develop and create designs for various projects that come through CDH. They would be responsible for communicating with project leads and developers in order to best communicate the goals of the project. They would need be an excellent designer with a strong understanding of UI/UX. Any HTML/CSS knowledge is a major plus, but design skills are more important here
