  • Machine Learning Technologies
  • Data Mining Tools
  • Deep Learning
  • Distributed (Cloud) Analytics
  • Neural Networks
  • Predictive Analytics.
United Technologies Research Center is hiring Machine Learning/Data Mining Scientists for the Decision Support & Machine Intelligence Group. The group takes on cutting edge challenges in machine learning, deep learning, data mining, neural networks, artificial intelligence and human/computer interaction. United Technologies Research center is involved in a broad array of research challenges including autonomous flight, security access and surveillance systems, people transport, analytics of jet engine data, human in the loop adaptive learning and the reduction of building energy usage through monitoring and diagnostics. Education:
  • Preferred Ph.D. in a technical disciplines such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or related field. M.S.+ 3 years’ experience is also an option.
Experience Preferred:
  • Statistical modeling / data mining.
  • Solid machine learning foundation.
  • Deep Learning
  • Anomaly detection and diagnostics.
  • Graphical model analysis
  • Predictive Analytics
Plusses: (Requirements For Senior Level PhD Positions)
  • Cloud / distributed computing experience (Hadoop)
  • Deep neural network experience
  • Big Data management expertise
  • Big Data mining experience with structured and unstructured data.
  • Python, Mat lab
The candidate must be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, multinational team environment focused on innovation and be able to partner with leading, worldwide institutions (university, government agencies, national labs, and professional organizations) to meet organizational objectives. The candidate should have good communication skills and must be able to provide timely, accurate and detailed reports, presentations and technical papers.
