My name is Candice Heatherly, and I represent Clemson University's Youth Learning Institute. The summer is fast approaching, and we are looking for college students to work for our traditional 4-H summer camp and our Voyager summer camp.
4-H Summer Camp works with children from ages 8-14, and focuses on water activities, high adventure, sports and recreation and much more.
Camp Voyager works with children ages 8 – 14 and focuses on making campers inventors with LittleBits programmers with Lego Mindstorm NXT robots, and drivers of their team’s Sphero robot during competitions. Campers spend time designing websites and games, as well as enjoy time play video games dated be to the Atari. Campers also enjoy activities like paintball, low ropes and high ropes courses, a climbing wall and waterslide, as well as a newly added game room.
I have attached a job description of the programs I feel suits your students’ interests, but have included our flyer with all of our summer camps in hopes that you will pass it along to your students. In the past we have appreciated the assistance you have given us in finding good staff for our camp, and hope that you are willing to continue to help.
If there are any questions please feel free to contact me by email or phone. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Candice Heatherly
