Dr. Ed Gatzke is an associate professor in the USC Department of Engineering. His research examines
mathematical issues related to battery and fuel-cell systems.
Dr. Gatzke spent 14 months on sabbatical in Germany supported by the Alexander von Humboldt foundation 2008-2009.
During this period, Dr. Gatzke was able to work with top European energy experts. Additionally, he and his family
