Lab Guidelines
- Materials and Tools
- Students will use text editors to write their own code. Scite and Text Wrangler.
- Online resources can be found atW3 Schools.
- NO HTML editors allowed. We are writing code from scratch.
- DO NOT USE Microsoft Word to cut and paste!!
- We will be using/coding with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript.
- Students need to bring a USB drive to every lab session to back up their assignments.
- Computer Use
- The University of South Carolina has a strong policy against computer abuse. Students are expected to act responsibly using computers.
- This includes obeying all applicable laws regarding copyright and harassment.
- College of Engineering and Computing Lab Policies
- X Drive
- Students store their work on the X Drive.
- Lecture and Lab Instructors have access to view all files on the students X Drive.
- Files are graded from the X Drive.
- Protect your information
- Never share your files or passwords.
- Remember to log out of your computer before leaving the lab.

- If you are having trouble completing your assignment, contact me for assistance.
- Lab Monitors are available duringOpen Lab Hours to help with your assignments.
- Give yourself enough time to complete the assignments outside of the classroom.
