Putting Your Major to Work: Career Paths after College

Putting Your Major to Work: Career Paths after College is a great resource for comparing majors and their associated career paths. The Career Paths after College graph is especially nice. For example, we learn that for young (25-34) Computer Science majors the most common job title (30%) is "Software Developer" and all the 5 most common job titles have "Computer" in the title, and the salaries shown below. Meanwhile, for young Electrical Engineering majors the most common job title is also "Software Developer" (15.5%), followed by Electrical Engineer (12.4%). Why? Because Computers are where the jobs are. BTW, the EE majors get paid less as Software Developers, of course, and they also have to learn to code on their own time after graduation. See also, Where the STEM Jobs Are (and Where They Aren’t).
